Facility Rentals

Waivers are required for every person who enters the building. Please have EVERYONE fill out waivers prior to your event date. You will also receive the waiver link in your confirmation email.  https://waiver.roller.app/skateworldsandiego/ 

We STRONGLY recommend signing it in advance as it is the biggest slow down during party check ins and we want everyone to get skating as soon as possible. EVERYONE regardless if they are skating or watching must sign a waiver to enter the building. 

Events are booked online ONLY. We do not accept phone bookings in order to have booking holders agree to the terms and conditions in writing. Events must be booked at least 5 days in advance. The full payment is due at the time of booking. 

Buyout timeslots are extremely limited due to the fact that they are only available when we are not open to the general public. 

The minimum cost for Facility Rentals - Buyout is $750 for up to 75 people. Every person who participates in your event will be included in the total number of guests. While there is no minimum requirement for the number of individuals attending your event, you will be charged for 75 people regardless of the actual turnout. However, you are allowed to invite as many people as specified in your event package and pay for each additional skater beyond that limit.

Everyone who attends your event counts towards your guest total. Each additional person over the included 75 is $15 each. Payment of any balance owing will be due upon check out of your event. 

All orders for food, drinks, and add ons must be placed at least 48 hours in advance. If you would like add any items please email us at info@skateworld.com. 

Arrival time is 15 minutes prior to the start of your event. Your event/rental time begins immediately at your scheduled event time. All guests must vacate the building no later than 5 minutes after the scheduled end time of your event. Failure to do so will result in an additional hourly charge equal to half the cost of your event.

We cannot accommodate early arrivals beyond the 15 minutes prior to your event time. We will ask you to return to your vehicle or come back closer to your event time. Please note that we ask that you meet outside 15 minutes prior to your start time to give our staff time to help you gather your group all together in order to enter the building right at your scheduled time.

If you are more than 30 minutes late we reserve the right to cancel your rental completely and you forfeit any payment you have made to Skateworld.

You are permitted to bring in outside food (at no extra charge) with the exception of pizza, ice cream, and drinks, which must be purchased through Skateworld. Please note that Skateworld does not allow any on-site food preparation, including the use of burners or warmers. All food must be prepped and ready to be served upon arrival. No coolers are allowed. 

We usually play Top 100 from 80’s-today hits during events. While we do take requests we cannot guarantee that we will be able to play them because of time constraints or unavailability of the song in our system. 

You are also welcome to bring your own playlist on a media player with aux input (like a phone or ipad) with preloaded content. Please note that we do not allow outside DJ’s to play music at Skateworld.

You are welcome to decorate tables in our lobby area. However, please note that certain decorations are not permitted, including banners, signs, piñatas, glitter, or anything that needs to be hung on the walls or doesn't fit on the tables. You may bring balloons but we recommend using balloon weights. 

The time required for setting up decorations and other preparations will be included in the allocated two-hour event time. We cannot guarantee any additional time for early entry specifically for the purpose of setting up.

Skating games are fun at Skateworld! We usually play Red Light Green Light or Limbo as well as skating activities like the Cha Cha Slide, Hokie Pokie, Cupid Shuffle, etc.

Unfortunately, we are usually unable to offer an extension to your event time. However, if there happens to be additional time available, we do charge per half hour. Please contact us via email at info@skateworld.com for availability. 

Customers can request booking modifications, upgrades, and date changes up until 7 days before their event. Customers can also request a full refund within 48 hours of booking, as long as the booking is made more than 7 days before the event. After 48 hours, there are NO REFUNDS. With proper notice (as mentioned above), we are happy to reschedule your event for up to six months from the originally scheduled event date.

Skateworld does not permit filming, or professional photography to reserve time through this portal. If you are interested in filming or photography at our location, please contact us via email at info@skateworld.com for further information.

We do not allow the resale of tickets to any event including Facility Rentals.

Anyone under the influence of alcohol is not allowed on skates or inside Skateworld. We reserve the right to refuse service and admission to anyone under the influence of alcohol or who is treating Skateworld or its employees in an abusive manner. 

You are welcome to use your own skates as long as they pass our safety inspection. Our safety inspection consists of: making sure they are in good working condition, cleanliness (no dirt stuck in the wheels or toe stop/brake) and making sure there are no dangerous bolts sticking out. All skates must have toe stops or jam plugs. 

Parking is available in the front parking lot, behind the rink by the Linda Vista Library, and in the grocery center. Please refrain from parking in front of any businesses with marked stalls.
