About

The mission of Skateworld’s Summer Skate Camp is to provide an innovative and effective camp program that is safe, fun, challenging and that meets the development of healthy living and social needs of our youth in the communities we serve. Every year, we see hundreds of diverse students from all over the San Diego area with a huge variety of talents, abilities, backgrounds, and experiences.

We believe in a strong mix of  free choice activities along with a well-organized agenda that encourages children to learn through play and educational activities that promote social, academic, and physical health.

Our welltrained staff is certified every year on the following topics:

  • CPR/AED
  • Standard First Aid
  • Child & Youth Abuse Prevention
  • Bullying Prevention
  • Behavior Management

We perform criminal background checks and reference checks to ensure the safety of your camper. The most important goal of our staff is to provide a nurturing, safe and caring environment for your camper.

While most of our days are spent inside the rink participating in dozens of different fun activities, we have a small number of field trips that we lead to some fun, educational and/or interesting places. You will be notified about these trips at least a week in advance.

These field trips are mandatory for all campers attending on those days and may include special requirements for permission, drop-offs and pick-ups, attire, sunscreen, and snacks. We publish the field trip dates well in advance.

Field trips are included with the camp admission costs and do not require extra fees.

We do our best to accommodate common food allergies, but we cannot guarantee that our foods have not been near or do not contain peanuts and other allergens that cause severe reactions. Parents are welcome to provide approved foods for their kids and we will prepare/serve them safely according to your written instructions. Please indicate on your registration that your child has specific allergies and please discuss arrangements/solutions with a manager before registering for camp.

We are happy to discuss specific needs with you before registering your child. Please give us a call at (858) 560-9349.
