About
The mission of Skateworld’s Summer Skate Camp is to provide an innovative and effective camp program that is safe, fun, challenging and that meets the development of healthy living and social needs of our youth in the communities we serve. Every year, we see hundreds of diverse students from all over the San Diego area with a huge variety of talents, abilities, backgrounds, and experiences.
We believe in a strong mix of free choice activities along with a well-organized agenda that encourages children to learn through play and educational activities that promote social, academic, and physical health.
Our well–trained staff is certified every year on the following topics:
- CPR/AED
- Standard First Aid
- Child & Youth Abuse Prevention
- Bullying Prevention
We perform criminal background checks and reference checks to ensure the safety of your camper. The most important goal of our staff is to provide a nurturing, safe and caring environment for your camper.
Hours are 9:00am-3:30pm with the option of adding on Early Drop Off (7:30am) and Late Pick Up (5:30pm)
Weekly $250
Early Drop Off/Pick Up $20 per week.
Siblings receive 10% for each additional child.
Pre-Registration is done exclusively online.
All fees must be paid in full before a child attends camp. Payment is due for every week registered regardless of actual attendance. Camp registration is not pro–rated for any reason. Cancellation and refunds for any reason requires a written notice given to Skateworld two weeks prior to the registered session.
Camp Basics
We’ll take campers from 5-12 years old, and we sometimes divide them into smaller grade level groups (K-2, 3-5 & 6-8).
7:30-9:30 Early Drop Off
9:30 Drop Off, Morning Center, Conversation with Counselors, and Announcements
10:00 Snack
10:15-11:45 Roller Skating, Roller Hockey, Game Room, Art Room, Dance Room, Bounce House, Balls and Scooters
11:45-12:15 Lunch
12:15-2:00 STEAM Project or Presentation
2:00-3:15 Skating, Skating instruction, and Skating Games
3:15-3:30 Snack
3:30 Pick Up
3:30-4:30 Late Pick Up Roller Skating, Art Room, Activity Room, etc.
4:30-5:30 Late Pick Up, Rest Period
Due to recent COVID-19 events each camper should bring their own lunch and snacks in a temperature-controlled lunch box. No paper bags will be allowed as no refrigeration or microwave is available.
Due to COVID-19 Field Trips will be limited to one trip to the Skate Park if open and campers are able to maintain social distancing from other skaters.
We do our best to accommodate common food allergies, but we cannot guarantee that our foods have not been near or do not contain peanuts and other allergens that cause severe reactions. Parents are welcome to provide approved foods for their kids and we will prepare/serve them safely according to your written instructions. Please indicate on your registration that your child has specific allergies and please discuss arrangements/solutions with a manager before registering for camp.
