ROLLER DERBY AT SKATEWORLD

About Our Derby Programs

Roller Derby has been a staple at Skateworld for over 11 years providing women, men, and juniors a place to skate fast, hit hard, and turn left! Roller derby is a great way to up your skating game, compete in a high intensity sport regardless of your athletic background, and to meet lots of new and interesting people!

If you are a brand new (or newish) adult to derby, you may want to check out our Skate School. It offers the skating instruction you need without the hitting, in order to learn if hitting hard and turning left is what works for you!

The San Diego Earthquakes / Women’s

Team San Diego, The Earthquakes are Skateworld’s own women’s team!. Upon entry, you will attend Skate School and pass your “skating skills test” – a skating-only (no derby) test that makes sure you are safe to skate with the experienced derby skaters. Then you will be placed in our Fresh Meat program to learn the ins and outs of roller derby! Once you pass your bout assessment you will be a full fledged member of The San Diego Earthquakes!

If you would like to play against the San Diego Earthquakes or become one Email us at info@skateworldsandiego.com
